Merry Market—Just Keep Smiling

October 11, 2022

Merry Market is coming up on Friday, Oct 14, from 9 am to 6 pm through Saturday, Oct 15, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Gardendale Civic Center. There is a 5$ admission fee that goes to support the Just Keep Smiling Charity.

We at the NJP encourage you to come out and see all the great vendors and support a wonderful charity.

Merry Market Always Delivers

An annual event held at the Gardendale Civic Center with over 85 vendors is a favorite destination for those looking for a unique item, an early Christmas gift, and fun for the kids.

Shopping at the numerous vendors provides a relaxing weekend for friends and family, or even a mother’s day out, providing an early bit of holiday shopping.

Unique gifts, creative ideas, and standard favorites abound. A snack cafe serving coffee, delicious snacks, and even boxed lunches is a Market definite to-do activity.

The market even expects a visit from Santa with cookies from some of the kid’s favorite characters.

Come out and visit some old favorites and perhaps find a few new ones.

Just Keep Smiling

Just Keep Smiling is a non-profit organization that seeks to assist families with critically ill children. They provide financial aid for immediate needs, offering emotional support based on personal knowledge of a child’s serious illness or death.

Sue Jeffries, Dera Cook, and Patrice Brooks founded the Just Keep Smiling Program sharing hope in medical crises.

Their website shares the tenet that no one knows when tragedy will strike. Challenges, pain, and suffering do not discriminate. Sometimes you can see it coming; other times, it arrives unannounced.

As much as you can be prepared, there is always a burden to lift. A spiritual insight that conveys peace, comfort, and strength found in God.

“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward. – Matthew 10:42

Come out the weekend of Oct 14-15, shop, have some snacks, see Santa, and share goodness with a charity that shares with those less fortunate than others.
