The highly acclaimed and award-winning Marshall Steakhouse and Resort is expanding outside of the greater Memphis area to 95 acres of the Hallmark Farms property off I-65 in North Jefferson County.
The founder of the steakhouse, Randall Swaney, has been hard at work since January on this historic and expansive location outside of Birmingham.
Swaney states, “We are very deliberate and strategic about selecting all of our locations. The Alabama location will cost approximately $15 million to build and open”. Swaney added, “High growth towns not far from larger, metropolitan cities attract large numbers of people seeking fine dining in a casual and fun setting.”
Swanny believes the farm will be a highly sought-after travel destination.

The Location of Hallmark Farms
Hallmark Farms is 585 acres on the Warrior River. Known for its historical significance, it was also the showcase of the 2022 Decorators Showhouse which drew over fifteen thousand people to the venue.
The iconic farm features a massive, ornate mansion that was designed and built by the late Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hallmark in 1976. The large surrounding property boasts large barns and untouched nature that can partially be viewed from I-65.
The farm was purchased in 2019 by the Hallmark Farm Cooperative, a partnership between the City of Warrior and the Jefferson County Commission.
Warrior City Mayor, Johnny Ragland said “ the cooperative intends to keep the home and barn intact and develop the farm property for special events, weddings, reunions, and other related gatherings.”
Hallmark Farm is a big attraction for the area and it is also a location that will be desirable for attracting steakhouse visitors.
