Our first month at the North Jefferson Post has been phenomenal. The feedback from the community on the positive news is encouraging and adds fuel to our mission. To everyone who has shared, commented, read, and reached out, we want to thank you!
The Food Truck series starts
Our new series will highlight a local food truck. It will have a few locals try some menu items and then give you a review of each item. Once we found our locals, they immediately recommended the same place, Tamale Queen!

It’s Tamale Queen Nachos for Logan

“I highly recommend Tamale Queen to anyone looking for a great meal. I’ve had the Burrito, Nachos, Tacos de Birria, Tamale Bake, and the Loaded Tamales. Whether from the Tamale Queen truck or the store, the quality never changes; it’s always a 5-star meal. The only thing better than the food is the staff, and they always make sure to treat you like family. This place will always be a go-to for my family and me.”

Tamale Bake for Matt and Emily -4.5 stars

“I will definitely be recommending Tamale Queen to everyone I can. The tamale bake was incredible! Masa can really make or break a tamale, and theirs was delicious. Fresh ingredients, an excellent environment, and love cooked into every bite made for a unique and enjoyable experience.”
-Matt
“Everyone should try this place out! They are some of the best tamales I’ve ever had. The Tamale Bake is unique and delicious! I’ve also gone back time and time again for the birria tacos. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been excellent! Not to mention, the owner is one of the nicest people you’ll meet! Will definitely be back for more!”

Tacos de Birria for Mackenzie and Sydney

“It can be challenging to find a place like Tamale Queen… equal parts welcoming and authentic. The tacos de birria were perfectly balanced, even though they had a ton of ingredients. Tamale Queen also gives generous portions, making for not just a good food experience, but a good customer experience as well! I’ll definitely be back when I need the comfort of a home-cooked tamale.”
-Sydney
“I love Tamale Queen! I have wanted to try Birria style tacos for so long, and I just found out TQ has them on their menu! The tacos were bigger than I expected and super cheesy! They aren’t very eat-while-you-work friendly, but 100% worth it! This is my second time trying Tamale Queen. Both times were fantastic quality and tasted delicious.”

More on the Menu
There is more on the menu than just these items, but each one we can guarantee is fresh and delicious.
